Marie has lived in Holmes Chapel for 26 years.  During that time, she has been involved in volunteering and fundraising for a variety of local projects.  

She was Chair of the Hermitage Primary School PTFA for several years, and also fundraised throughout her Son’s journey in Scouting, from Beaver to Viking Explorer.  She has volunteered for Sandbach Animal Rescue, is a Village Fair organiser, and is currently volunteer Presenter and Station Manager at Dane Sound Community Radio. She can also be found regularly making up Toy Sacks with the team from The Toy Appeal, and she puts together the monthly Partnership newsletter.

Her career has taken her through PR, Advertising and Marketing roles.  Since 1995 she has run her own business, diversifying into Event Management & Project Support and working with organisations such as UNDP, Vodafone, Carlsberg-Tetley, The Best Practice User Group and Clonter Opera Theatre.  Marie also supports her husband’s print business as Marketing Manager and Buyer.

Marie is passionate about shopping locally as much as she can, and reducing, recycling and re-using to help the environment.  She is a keen crafter, enjoys Pilates and is a cat lover.
