Community group Holmes Chapel Partnership and Holmes Chapel Parish Council invited local residents to take part in our annual Walk to School event on Friday 19 May.
This is the third year we have run this event in Holmes Chapel in conjunction with Living Streets, the UK charity of everyday walking.
Despite the rain our walk was well attended by local school children, teachers, residents and our newly elected Parish and Ward councillors. Together, we are continuing to campaign for safer walking routes through our village.
The theme this year was ‘Walk for Friendship’ so we invite people to bring a friend, relative or neighbour to join us on our walk to school this year.
