Holmes Chapel Partnership welcomes new wall for Harry Styles fans

Holmes Chapel Partnership, the team behind Harry’s Home Village Tour, is excited to announce the installation of a new wall at Twemlow Viaduct.

Officially unveiled by Network Rail on 29 August, the wall will serve as a blank canvas for Harry Styles fans to decorate and share messages within their global community.

Twemlow Viaduct, owned by Network Rail, is a 183-year-old Grade II listed structure that carries trains from Manchester to Crewe via Holmes Chapel on the busy West Coast main line. Over the years, fans from around the world have made pilgrimages to the 23-arch Viaduct, leaving messages for their idol etched into the bricks.

The new wall allows fans to continue viewing the now-famous ‘Harry’s Wall’ at Twemlow Viaduct while discouraging further vandalism of the historic structure. Preventing writing on the Viaduct has been central to Harry’s Home Village Tours, which have been running since June and attracting fans globally. As part of the tour experience, Holmes Chapel Partnership provides slate hearts for fans to inscribe and leave at the viaduct.

Peter Whiers, chair of Holmes Chapel Partnership, expressed his enthusiasm for Network Rail’s investment in the heritage site: “We are delighted to see Network Rail recognising the mecca that Twemlow Viaduct has become and installing this blank canvas that will enable Harry Styles fans to express themselves creatively when visiting. This new wall is an important next step in both protecting the heritage of Twemlow Viaduct and continuing to raise the profile of Holmes Chapel on the tourist map for Cheshire. We are excited to see how fans react and take ownership of the wall over the coming weeks, while ensuring the viaduct remains a cherished landmark for future generations.”
