Our membership comprises ex Round Tablers and like-minded men over the age of 45 years.  We meet monthly for a meal and some form of social activity on the last Thursday of the month.

We explore our spirituality through monthly talks on travel, charities, items of general interest, Christian themes and social events, including a party in January and an outing in May.  We welcome both men and women.  We meet on the second Friday of each month between September and June at 8:00pm in the Methodist Church.

Holmes Chapel Community Cinema (HC3)

HC3 brings big-screen films to the heart of the Village, using professional projection and sound equipment.  We aim to screen one film each month.  Please see the website or the Library notice board for details.

Holmes Chapel Older People's Association

We run eight day trips a year from April to November for people over 60; younger partners, friends and family are welcome to accompany our members.  Our AGM is held in February.

Ladies' Probus: Church Hulme

This is a non-denominational organisation for retired or semi-retired ladies.  Our activities include mainly speakers, an annual quiz, summer lunch and other social events and outings.

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at Cranage Village Hall, 2pm – 4pm.

Ladies' Probus: Holmes Chapel & District 

We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 2.00pm in St Luke’s Church Hall, apart from January when we have our New Year lunch and August when we hold our Garden Party in a member’s garden to raise funds for the President’s chosen charity.  We also have a Summer lunch in June.

We hold our AGM in February and the President holds office for one year.

National Women's Register

We are the Holmes Chapel Branch of the National Women’s register.

We meet fortnightly, at 8.00pm on Tuesday evenings at a member’s home, where we enjoy conversation and exchange views on a wide range of topics other than those of domestic interest.

Ladies' Probus: Jodrell

Just retired or about to?  Would you like to join a group of friendly, Iively-minded ladies?  Jodrell Ladies Probus could be just what you are looking for.  We meet on the third Thursday of the month at Holmes Chapel Methodist Church for a pleasant afternoon listening to excellent speakers.  We also enjoy outings throughout the year.

This group is for women who ask, ‘is there more to life than this?’   Through a mix of topics – beauty, well women, discussion, hands on craft, laughter and friendship we explore the glimpses of spirituality hidden in everyday life.

We meet the 4th Monday of each month at 7.30pm in Holmes Chapel Methodist Church.

Men's Probus: Church Hulme

Our friendly, non-sectarian and non-political club is open to retired or semi-retired professional and business men. Our meetings are held in St. Luke’s Church Hall on the first Wednesday of each month at 2pm where guest speakers are invited to talk on a vast range of interesting subjects.  Our activities include golf, bowls, summer BBQ/hog roast, outings and an annual dinner for members and their wives.

Men's Probus: Holmes Chapel

Membership is open to retired or semi-retired professional and business men, to promote fellowship between its members.  The club is both non-sectarian and non-political with activities organised by members – i.e. interesting speakers, bowling, golf, dinners.

Tangent: Holmes Chapel & District

Tangent is a club for ladies whose husbands / partners are members of Holmes Chapel 41 Club or who have been members of other Ladies’ Circle or Tangent clubs in other regions.  The club meets on the first Thursday in each month.  We have a varied programme of activities including theatre trips, walks, speaker evenings and quizzes, so meetings are held at different venues each month.

Trefoil Guild: Jodrell

Trefoil welcomes all who have been involved in any aspect of Guiding.  Although you may join Trefoil from aged 18 years, our current members from Holmes Chapel and the surrounding area do tend to be slightly older!  We meet on the first Tuesday of the month and vary between day time and evening meetings. We enjoy a varied programme including speakers, visits out, interest and games evenings. Come and join us, it’s a great way of still having fun in Guiding, especially as we are often invited to Guiding events locally and at County level.

Victoria Club

Situated in the centre of Holmes Chapel, the welcoming and family-friendly Vic Club has been established for over 90 years, offering the local community a variety of sports and social facilities for all ages.

The lovely south facing patio overlooks the cricket pitch providing a safe and secure area which is really popular with families in the warmer weather.  The club has a large function room with a bar which is popular for many celebrations and fund raising events. There is a fully fitted kitchen which can be hired to provide refreshments and meet the catering needs of any occasion.

Wednesday Memory Cafe

Opened in 2018 by the Methodist Church and run by volunteers from the Church and Community, the cafe particularly welcomes those living with dementia in our village (those with dementia and their carers).  A variety of activities including indoor skittles, table tennis, table games, jigsaws, art and crafts, sing -a -longs, give much fun and laughter along with chatting and reminiscing over coffee and biscuits.
1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays of month. 10.00am-12noon. HC Methodist Church.

Women's Institute

The WI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

We meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm in St Luke’s Church Hall.
